Use of the site confirms that you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Everything we do is subject to the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

The Nordics reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Amendments will be effective immediately upon notification on this website. We also have a Privacy Policy for users of the website.

Our Services

The Nordics is a recruitment site, intended to help Australian employers to connect with people from the Nordic countries living in Australia. We act as a platform to enable:

  • employers to publish job ads (for a fee);
  • employers to browse a database of candidates (for a fee);
  • candidates to create profiles and publish their cover letters and resumes;
  • candidates to apply for published jobs; and
  • employers to contact candidates directly with job offers (for a fee).

Your use of The Nordics

The Nordics is website is intended to provide you with information about our recruitment services.

  1. If you submit your resume or other information via this website you are responsible for ensuring that all information which you supply is true, accurate, up-to-date and complete.
  2. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes when seeking employment.
  3. You agree to not post or transmit on the website any libellous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene or otherwise objectionable material. Nor will you post any material which infringes any intellectual property rights of any third party.
  4. You confirm that you will not post or transmit on the website any material which contains any virus or other disabling devices which interferes or may interfere with the operation of the website; or which alters or deletes any information which you have no authority to alter or delete; or which overloads the website by spamming or flooding it.

The Nordics are an enabling platform only, and have no involvement in the relationship between our Candidates and Employers. To the extent permitted by law, The Nordics accept no responsibility or liability for any aspect of the services provided, the interaction between Employer and Candidate and have no obligation to any user to assist in any dispute between an Employer and a Candidate.

No liability is accepted by The Nordics for any damage or loss arising in any way out of any person relying on or using any information or services provided on this website. If your use of The Nordics results in the need for servicing or replacing property, material, equipment or data, we will not be responsible for such costs. You agree fully to indemnify us and keep us fully indemnified against all costs, expenses, claims, losses, liabilities or proceedings arising from use or misuse by you of this website.

All information related to job or company descriptions, as well as candidate presentations, are supplied by our users and we do not review, approve, or verify any user-provided information prior to publication on the platform. The Nordics make no warranty as to the truth or accuracy of any information provided by candidates and employers on the platform.

We do not guarantee that any employer or client will ask for a candidate’s information, or will interview or hire a candidate, or that any candidates will be available or will meet the needs of any employer.

Security and Passwords

When you register with The Nordics or log in when you visit our website, you will need to use an email and password. This should be kept confidential at all times and not disclosed to anyone. Please notify us immediately if you believe that your password is in the possession of someone else or if it may be used in an unauthorised way.

The Nordics right to collect information

We may gather information about our visitors on The Nordics to help us to understand our users. We believe this information will help us determine what is most beneficial for our users and how we can continually improve our online recruitment service. If you are an employer and in any way not happy with the outcomes achieved after using The Nordics for your recruitment, we will be happy to refund the money you spent with us as long as you let us know of your issue within 60 days of your purchase. To ensure that our site only features great employers and candidates, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to deny service to employers and candidates whose presence on our site we believe do not further the interests of the Nordic-Australian community.


You agree to receive transaction email messages related to our service such as automated notifications related to your account, or your interactions with the site. You also agree to receive occasional update newsletters (which you can later opt out of) that we send to keep members up to date with site changes or industry developments we believe are relevant to them. We will not spam you, or send you third-party marketing.


We aim to reply back to all complaints within 10 working days, and aim to resolve all complaints within 30 working days. This may not be possible in all situations depending on the contents of the complaint. In this situation, we will respond to your complaint in a reasonable time.

How we collect non-personal information about The Nordics’ users

The Nordics collects non-personal information on website visits including, without limitation, which sections of the website that are most frequently visited, how often, and for how long. This data is always used as aggregated, non-personal information, and may be shared with The Nordics partners and trusted third parties to provide them with information relating to how The Nordics’ users ‘use’ the website. This is done for the purpose of providing you with a great and efficient recruitment service.

The Nordics may collect personal information about you when you deal with us by telephone, fax or e-mail. When you complete one of our registration forms we collect personal information about you. Registration on The Nordics is optional, however you need to register in order to place a job advert or submit a job application.

All personal information provided to the Nordics (including your name, resume, contact details, employment and educational history, work performance, salary expectations, preferred job classifications and locations, incidents or complaints at the workplace, and other information obtained or received by us in connection with your possible and actual work placements) may be used by The Nordics for the purpose of improving our website and placement opportunities for you.

Online Applications

Making an online application to a job advertisement on The Nordics is free. Job applications require users to complete mandatory fields so that the Advertiser can identify and contact the applicant. By applying to a position advertised on The Nordics you are requesting that we pass the information to the relevant employer and/or their nominee. The use of your information by these employers is not within the control of The Nordics and we cannot accept responsibility for the conduct of these companies.

Employers that place job ads on The Nordics, are asked by The Nordics to comply with all relevant obligations relating to the use and disclosure of personal information that are outlined in this privacy policy. The Nordics cannot however guarantee compliance with these obligations.

Any questions you have relating to a position advertised on The Nordics, your online application and/or the status of your application should be directed directly to the employer, not The Nordics. Our role in the online application process is limited to forwarding your online application to the employer.

Purposes for which we collect personal information

We will not sell or otherwise provide to any unrelated third party, except where required to by law, any personal information that is collected or held by The Nordics. Your personal information will never be shared with any third party, unless you actively take steps to share it via our platform, e.g. by submitting a response to an ad on the site.

Please note that financial information (such as credit card details) is never visible to us, as these are handled directly via our third-party payment gateway PayPal. Similarly, your password is never visible in clear text form by any of our staff and always managed in encrypted form.

Ownership of user uploaded content

The ownership of all information uploaded by our users remain with the users. The Nordics assume no rights to any intellectual property materials uploaded to our site. What you upload remains yours.

Storage & Security of Personal Information
